Walgreens - Cap'N Crunch Sweet Deal

I had heard a few weeks back about Walgreens having smaller serving boxes of cereal for $1 and some stores had Cap'n Crunch. When I orginally searched I looked at the store closest to me and they didn't have any but they did have the Cream of Wheat $1 boxes (3 servings). However I couldn't find a coupon for them. Today I went to my other Walgreens which I tend to avoid because of a certain cashier. However today I checked out in Photo and it went smoothly plus since Photo is near the food section I spotted the Cap'N Crunch $1 boxes and jumped for joy (well not really). There was a $1/2 any Cap'n Crunch in the Red Plum 4/17/11 insert which makes them $0.50!

6 boxes of Cap'n Crunch - $1 each
1 G-U-M Eez-Thru Flossers - $2

- 3x $1/2 Cap'n Crunch any size Q - RP 4/17

Target - Clearance Alert - Colgate Wisp

Reminder - Heinz Ketchup

If you were one of the lucky first 57000 fan of Heinz Ketchup on Facebook to snag a $2 off any size ketchup a few weeks ago and still have your coupons, make sure you head to Walmart where you can score a 40oz bottle for $1.98. Which means FREE ketchup! The two I "bought" are going to be donated.

Starbucks - Happy Hour - 50% Off Frappuccino

So excited to share this with you as I know there are some major Starbucks drinkers reading this blog and RSS feed. Well starting Friday May 6th until Sunday May 15th between the hours of 3-5 pm (at participating stores) you can score a Frappuccino® blended beverage of your choice for HALF OFF! That's right...50% of a nice frozen coffee drink. Since Starbucks does this about once a year, they also decided this time around to allow you to customize your drink to be just the way you want it. You can  add flavor like caramel or vanilla, or enjoy a new flavor like our Mocha Coconut (totally going to try this!) or make any combination of flavors. You can also customiz the milk they use to be whole, 2%, nonfat or soy in addition to adding an extra pump of coffee or a shot of espresso.

For a daily Happy Hour text message reminder, text MIXIT (standard text & data rates may apply) to 44264 (In Canada text MIXIT to 98075). Afternoons just got a little sweeter!

Target - Clearance Alert !!!

I went to Target today with my list of items and matching coupons and quickly checked out the toy section for any new clearance. I shop year around for Christmas and Birthdays so I made it my habit to always check the aisles...just in case! Today I found a few items I thought I would share that I did not pick up but thought they might be perfect for someone else.

Please Note: Prices listed below are sticker prices. They may be CHEAPER since I didn't scan the items.

Lego Space Police Set - Now $50.48 (Regular $100.99)
DPCI: 204 00 0164
Legos RARELY go beyond 50%. So if you want this item, now is the time to act. Take the DPCI and check here for availability for your store or through Target's website. NEVER call the store to check. Often times employees will scan the item and realize what a great deal it is...and wipe the store out.

Playskool Adventure Heros (Police and Fire) - Now $14.98 (Regular $29.99)
DPCI: 204 03 1388

Rite Aid - Breathe Right Strips - FREE

If you print the coupon here you can score a free box of breathe right strips AND if you wait until next week (May 8 - May 14) you can also score an UP Reward with this product.

This is VERY IMPORTANT. Do not in any way abuse this coupon. It is ONE PER CUSTOMER and should mean one per person or household. Once a coupon is abused it ruins it for the rest of the couponing community. I will step off my soap box now :)

Thanks Slickdeals!

Pediasure - $3 Coupon

If you have small children or know someone that does, then you may want to print this $3 Pediasure coupon (two per computer) to have on hand for a great deal.

My Madness...

I thought I would share what my dining room table looks like while I try to figure out my personal deals for the week but also what it may look like when figuring out the weekly flyers for you. I call this my madness. Or as my husband calls it my chaos. I am normally a very organized person but when it comes to bargain hunting everything is fair game.

I have my stacks of weekly coupons with each date labeled with a Sharpie on the front so I don’t have to look at the teeny tiny font on the side of the flyer each time I’m looking for a certain date. I also have them stacked in order with newest on top and all the same together (5/1 SS, 5/1 RP, etc).

Back in the day when I first started Bargain Hunting (2007) I used to cut the coupons out every week and put them in my binder. However since I became a “victim” of the corporate downsizing in February 2011 I haven’t been cutting them. Instead I stack and label them and use two coupon databases online to help me search for the coupons I need. Now this CAN hinder a great deal on the fly, but at some point I just decided I would write down any deals I see and come back later. If they are there, great! If not, it wasn’t meant to be. It’s just so time consuming now to clip coupons and run the blog so I just wait LOL.

You will see my binder which has plastic inserts for holding baseball cards. These are perfect for storing clipped coupons. Inside the binder I also have two pencil cases; one for all my Target coupons and one for storing misc coupons that I haven’t sorted yet. Eventually, since I am not clipping my Sunday inserts I will use the binder for all my printable coupons from the Internet. But as you can see I also have a stack of those waiting to be clipped. Sigh…

I also have envelopes for each store that I visit (Shaw’s, Market Basket, Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) along with a pad of paper and pen. This is my “shopping list” that I prepare before I step out the door. I search the flyers for the weekly deals and other blogs to see if there is anything I am missing then search the coupon databases to match coupons. I put each store’s stack of coupons in an envelope with the list and that is all I should get when I go to the store. Every now and then I do get more then I wrote down but I’m really trying to stick with the list for my budget.

So this is my madness…what I do when I’m search for you or myself. I have my computer powered up and ready to help me work the deals and also tell you about what you can find at the stores. Only thing missing from the picture is my big cup of coffee every morning. And yes I DID get the coffee at a great price too!

Sample Showcase - Sign Up!!!

Recently I signed up for the Sample Showcase (it’s free!) and was one of the qualified members who was able to snag a box of free goodies (see picture of what I received). Although this is my first time receiving the box I was quite happy to get the items and will admit that I acted like a kid on Christmas.

Sample Showcase is a service sponsored by the United States Postal Service that sends a box full of samples and coupons to members of Sample Showcase for them to try and comment on the website. They randomly send boxes to qualified members (you may not always qualify depending on what's in the box) for evaluation. You can either set a notification from Sample Showcase to be emailed to you on the next box release or check the website to see when the next box will become available.

Some things to remember about Sample Showcase:

• Not all members who apply for the released box will qualify
• Qualified members for the box may not receive all samples or coupons available
• There is no cost to you as it is sponsored by the USPS
